Cos we're friends like that

"Every single time, Gregory crossed over for me and met me on my side. I realise now, I don't think I ever met him in the middle. And I don't think I ever once said thank you for that."
-Cecillia Ahern, A Place Called Here

Do we appreciate our friends, or what we have? Do I?

I'm touched when Pamela came over with B&J ice-cream and MarsBars, despite it being a wednesday, and thursdays are crazily long. Thanks woman!

I'm glad Perry,Wanchun, Yizhen, Pamela, David and Yeujinq are there to help me and Sis make-up. Lol (:

I'm happy that Jenna and Amanda (it rhymes!) gave me hugs just because I am tired and sad.

Castro Monkey for being with me, talking to me, laughing with me, running with me and...abusing me. Hahaha.

Fangqi for calling to talk and cheering me up when things are, well, down.

Henry's random messages to give me energy to carry on.

Perry and JJ for lame convos lateeeeee at night. Well, morning, technically.

Shermaine and David stayed back every time we have acapella practice. Even though we just sing that same bloody song over and over again. Thankyou!

Joanne you fag for random messages that make me smile. XD

Leon for talking to me and just keeping in touch though he's in NP now. (:

Husband (Yimin) and Girlf (Sharleen) for talking to me and totally hanging out like girlfriends. :D

My fabulous class 13! for being so sweet and supportive.

4/6 Lovelies who still love each other dearly! We're crazily fun-loving man, seriously.

Teachers who encourage.

Friends who sing with you. Just so.

11 more days.

Not everyone gives the same way we do. Appreciate them for what they do and most importantly, love them your own way. Loyalty and selflessness shows.

I think you've been doing great. You've certainly given more than what random individuals have. I respect you very much because of that. I see you trying so hard and I don't think I've helped much because I've no confidence in that and my days are past when I meddle in other affairs. So stop the criticisms. You think you know what happened? That's what you think honey. Do you hear? It might seem unfair, but if there is a forfeit of rights, do not, I reiterate, assert opinions or authority where constructiveness is nil, respect zero, and certainly, to select individuals, pretense hundred percent. Social consciousness is important. The fact that some who don't care, certainly didn't care, and didn't give (perhaps yes, in their own way- I can't fault that, though it's certainly non-extending and pretty much invisible) feel they have the right (or cheek?) to denounce certain obligations and assume a noble I've-taken-on-the-world-now-I-give-up outlook ought to check with the mirror (or anyone sane, actually) to see what they really are, who they have been, who they truly are, instead of living in that self-absorbed and deluded world, and hurting others on the pretext of, "I didn't know..." A reason? Hell, no. It's an excuse.

"I have no freakin' clue how to live my life. I just write all my thoughts on a piece of paper and then throw it away."

All the best to AndSec Choir! You guys rock. Jiayou for Syf and be the best you can. <3 You can do it. Don't let her down. (:

I'm happy we care. Happy they care. When I see people around me every other day so deluded, things like this make me see that not everything is what we expect. Not everyone can be who you expect them to be. However much they appear. It takes one trip back to make me see things in perspective. (Why, you're so much younger, are we that bad?) Have no high expectations, lest they fall short and only disappointment awaits. ("You suck" I wish they'll tell us that) There are things straightforward. People know what they say and mean what they say. (No holding back, if you're not gonna have it you don't have it unless you work for it.)

No use crying. You know it's different so deal with it. At least you have 6. (They are better than us. Why?) 1,2,3,4,5, once I caught a fish alive. So we laugh and we don't care, or pretend to care. Just so. Everything gone and past. (I suppose it's part of everything to be fake.) You say you know, you say its what you stand for. (Do you think I believe you?) 6,7,8,9,10, then I let it go again.

When you stayed away, I'll stay away forever. How do I forgive you for moving away? Why did I let it go? Why did you let it go? When we needed you, when I needed you, you weren't there. Because it bit my finger so. We all try to be the same and act like nothing happened. Nobody listens to you. We try not to let it affect us. But things will never be the same. I know. Which finger did it bite?

Don't ask me to go now. You know we're never the same. When you buried what had been, there'll never be what will be. That little piece of my heart. This little finger on my right.

I close off that part of my heart and keep it locked up forever.

I saw this article in Reader's Digest. It's by Helen Fisher.

Who Loves You?
As a biological anthropologist, I've spent 30 years trying to understand human nature- what love is; why we marry, divorce and remarry; and why we choose the partners that we do.

I began to think that we have a biological pull to certain people. I developed a questionnaire designed to measure personality traits associated with certain hormones.

Explorers:
-Dopamine-rich
-highly curious
-creative
-love novelty and risks
-tend to be spontaneous and flexible

Builders:
-seratonin-rich
-social
-fond of rules and facts
-cautious but not fearful
-very good at managing people and building community

Directors:
-express testosterone traits
-decisive
-analytical
-tough-minded
-competitive
-understand "rule-based" systems from mechanics to music

Negotiators:
-high-oestrogen type
-see big picture
-imaginative
-intuitive
-nurturing
-good with people and words

We are all a mix of all four personalities, but most of us express predominantly two. Working with the internet dating site chemistry.com, I tested seven million people in 40 countries. When I looked at whom men and women chose to meet, I found nature's patterns:

Explorers tend to gravitate towards Explorers. Builders gravitate to Builders. But Directors go for Negotiators, and Negotiators are attracted to Directors.

We can override biology, but nature plays a role in whom we love. These days, as both sexes are freer to choose partners for themselves, we are entering an age when love can truly bloom.

Hmm interesting huh? (: Looking at this I am predominantly Explorer and Negotiator. Negotiator mostly I guess. Haha. Which category dyou all belong to?

The reason grandparents and children get along so well is really quite simple: They have a common enemy.
