Mid years are finally over!! Hohoho.

Okay kinda lag considering mine was over yesterday and looking at my tagboard. Lool

FINALLY OVER!

And i got a new phone! Not the LG one though...

This was what happened,

Guy at phone shop : See this? -holds up box-

Me: Yea

Him: Only one color right?

Me: Yea. Wait, metallic blue? -Thinks to myself(thought you said black?)-

Him: Yea, correct right?

Me: -Starts to turn to sis and talk- Yea, yea, correct.

Him: -Opens the box and starts playing with the phone.- Wow, cool keypad!

Me: Huh?

Him: -Holds up a SAMSUNG PHONE-

Me: :O (yea that's exactly my expression)

Him: You said F700 right?

Me: I didn't! said KF-700! -freaks out-

Him: Shit

Hahahaha. Yea he was nice and said i could change my mind and get the LG one if i didn't like this. But since the samsung one looked pretty too and their functions are the same and the cost too, i got that.

Lol. Gosh! He can't sell the phone once he opened it so yea.

Yeap so now i got the samsung one! SGH-F700. Rather big and a (according to sis) "dude" phone.

So what have you guys been up to?

Children in Crisis

Besides having to cope with their disabilities, disabled children face extreme poverty, discrimination, stigma and lack access to general public services including basic healthcare, education, clean water and sanitation, and adequate housing needs.

These children are also particularly vulnerable in conflict and disaster situations, and to HIV/AIDS, violence and neglect.

There is a direct link between poverty and disabling impairments. In fact, 50% of impairments are preventable and poverty-related, with 20% of impairments caused by malnutrition. (Source, Department for International Development, Reader's Digest)

Help protect these needy children. Visit
www.worldvision.org.sg or call 6221 1040 today to find out how you can help children through World Vision's Child Sponsorship Programme.

Every World Vision Child Sponsor receives
1. A photo and personal profile of the sponsored child

2. A sponsorship booklet showing in detail how sponsorship works.

3. An annual progress report on the sponsored child and his or her community, and an updated photo of the child.

4. The opportunity to build a special relationship with the sponsored child through exchange of letters, and participate in organised sponsor visits to the child.

5. Regular news about World Vision.

(:

Okay cool if i'm not poor in the future, and i certainly don't intend to be, I'll definitely adopt/sponsor one of these kids. Or more, depending on how much money i have. XD

I can't possibly help all of them but if i can change someone's life. I guess it's already good enough.

What they need is a change of govt though. Okay i won't elaborate. (:

Again I seriously hope to run away from everything. Don't you ever wished what its like to die prematurely?

It's so difficult giving in all the time. Cos you don't consider how others feel. Ever. It's just you, basically. All the things people do for you you're so thank-less, I'm shocked. It come naturally to you i suppose.

Everytime i try, it's just another stabbing. And it's not even from the back. Though no one sees it. I'm a great actor. High pain threshold i have, it's really kinda hurting a lot.

I'm so tired.

My parents always told me to give and not take. Okay fair enough. But I've nothing left now. No more feelings. Like what BC said. 'I didn't believe i'd met anyone who can not feel anything even if you get hurt. It's not possible.'

"That's how it goes. Lots of different ways to live. And lots of different ways to die. But in the end that doesn't make a bit of difference.

All that remains is a desert."

(South of the border, Haruki Murakami)

Do all these kids feel the same?

Wealth does not equate happiness.

Poor lil kids.

And poor in both senses.

So me and my frog prince son(yaoxin)(yea i know i have funny nicks for everyone) went out for lunch together. Talked a whole bunch of rubbish! LOL duh.

Then we were saying how mature people are, and he said that guys should be together with younger girls. Then he started going, cos it's different you know, -gesticulates with hand, high and low-.

I immediately said, "Oh, yea, true. Maturity level right?"

Then he was like, Lol! No! What la. He meant university time when your gf would be in Year 2 and kinda weird and all. Hoho

I mean like, I thought guys are generally more childish? To me it's good. Good or bad you decide.

You know, whether they're 5 or 15 or 35. They're all the same.

Seriously, guys never seem to grow up do they?

Lol...

Then there are the immature people.

The really obnoxious kind who constantly stars in their own personal drama and expect the world to exist for them.

There are certain common characteristics.
1. Inability to care for other people. Oh! Other than the most important person. Namely, themselves.

2. Insensitive. Believes the world is chock full of drab colorless emotionless beings living solely for the purpose of entertaining themselves.

3. Shows interest only when things concern them. Other than that, "Who cares?"

4. Fails to think of things long term. "Yea, I can. I mean why not?"

And the list goes on...

I'm not even complaining. I mean immature dudes do exist.

Take them with a pinch of aspirin please. And don't tell them they're hopeless. They'll just think you're jealous anyway.

It's just psychosis you know. Nothing ten years on the couch and a shrink can't cure. So it's basically fine and not life threatening. To them.

Well, too bad.

For us.

(maybe excluding me, who might be an incorrigible immature prat depending on how you see it.)

Lord Byron wrote, from Venice in 1817,
...state of morals is much the same as in the Doges' time; a woman is virtuous (according to the code) who limits herself to her husband and one lover; those who have two, three, or more, are a little wild; but...only those who are indiscriminately diffuse...are considered as overstepping the modesty of marriage.

Rousseau admired the 'graceful manners of Venetian courtesans' and their charm.

Sir Henry Wotton, 'not being made of stone', he could not trust himself 'among the famous Venetian courtesans'.

Venetian lady(left) and Venetian courtesan
Both ladies are expensively dressed and, as Wotton and others confirm, could be indistinguishable in clothes and manners...Venetian wives look and behave like courtesans.
and...
Yay to people who always visit my blog!

Decorum? What?

Who i'd utterly dislike
1. People who copy whatever you do. Hello, posers?
2. Hypocrites
3. Desperate half wits ( aka despos with no friends)
4. Bitchiness when one looks like crap.
5. Apparent show of innocence. Oh please. A blind dingbat couldn't be clearer.

People I associate with now do not fit that category. If you find that you do, you're already off that contact list of mine. (:

My italian baby was stolen from me before i could even give it a name!

Okay not a real baby which i mysteriously acquired on the trip to Italy.

My wallet. Pretty wallet. Which Nu-er(lol) and fellow mummy said was very Mango-ish.

Quite a lot of money etc, but the things inside! The ambigrams from my son, even the birthday one! Wants to kill the person who took the wallet. Hello, at least just take the money?? My ez-link card and beautiful ambigrams are of no use to you. I'm damn depressed can. And my newly made ez-link card.

Feel like putting my head through that exhibit we saw at the substation.

But thanks a lot to people who tried to help me find it! And sher and son who tried to climb on the roof to interrgate the cheena workers who might have taken it.

Lol. And Yaoxin frog who so nicely sang songs with me to cheer me up and even offered to treat me to a meal though im so not deserving. I didn't take care of my own wallet so i ought to lose it.

Pamela who was telling me so much funny stuff la! LOL. Yay. Voodoo's my stuff! You know me too well. XD

Then sugar(wanchun) and spice cake(ganzhian) started crapping so much to me! Laugh like mad. Okay my v v v unlucky day is almost neutralised.

Cept for the traumatising reinforcements on the very trusting and pure and innocence of humans. Erm, i just start to lose the trust yea? To outsiders, esp.

Gosh my way i talking. How entirely sickened am i to it. Too much lit stuff makes you suicidal, depressed and totally weird.

The Pastor's Ass

The pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won. The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again. The local paper read:

PASTOR'S ASS OUT FRONT.

The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the pastor not to enter the donkey in another race. The next day, the local paper headline read:

BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S ASS.

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey. The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent. The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headlinethe next day:

NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.

The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for $10. The next day the paper read:

NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10.

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild. The next day the headlines read:

NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE.

The bishop was buried the next day.

The moral of the story is . . . being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery . . . even shorten your life.

So be yourself and enjoy life. :)

I'm having a lot of nightmares lately. Urgh! Overactive imagination? I hope so. I'm always running away from something in my dreams. What does it mean? Hmm...

Talking to my sis the other day. Asked her about vampires and we were laughing about how garlic/cloves or wooden stakes can ever hope to deter them.

I was like, Hey it's gonna be damn weird right? Walk around the place with a string of those vegetables hung around your neck.

And she said," Nah, its the twenty first century? We blend them all together, put them in a bottle and use it like pepper spray."

Lol. Modernisation of vampire deterring methods, anyone?
